Y.B. Blake León

Y.B. Blake León, a Costa Rican native, writes and translates The Adventures of La Tica Morenita series. As a new mom and children's book author, she finds inspiration in parenthood, weaving stories that celebrate childhood. Now residing in Greater Los Angeles, Journey to the New World is the first collection in the series.

This second installment highlights the author’s dedication to preserving Afro-Caribbean culinary traditions. Y.B. Blake León combines personal stories, history, and delicious recipes, celebrating the rich cultural heritage of the Costa Rican communities in Puerto Limón.
